Testing 1 oz silver bar
Testing my 1 oz silver bar using ping and magnet tests.
Yup its good
what did you tap it with? what else would be good to tap it with?
Thanks. I have found a few trusted dealers to buy from but still like to test to make sure.
yep passes 🙂
yeah they can all be tested the same way
Looks legit to me. I also picked up a small scale to weigh these 1 ouncers. 31.1 all day!! Haha
from physics if anyone is wondering why this trick works on silver bar and why on silver bar magnets slides slower. This is called lenz law. Even though silver is not magnetic sliding a magnet down a silver bar creates an magnetic field which then induces electric fields which essentially the voltage difference and is generated in the opposite direction of the slide.
I think the magnet test is one of the best tests.. I have a smaller magnet but test the same way.. Also with the smaller magnet you can put the bar/coin to the magnet and because its so small it will attract to the slightest amount of ferrous metal which larger magnets fail to show.. I also weigh and measure as an extra test Good first vid
