How much should I invest in silver? This is another factor the investor should consider when investing in or owning silver, physical silver that is. Now we can go into a lengthy discussion here, but the long and short of it is that you should invest in or own as much silver as you can afford.

Emergency stash…

Silver Bullion will not go as far as to say that you should have 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% or more of your investment portfolio invested in silver, but we do recommend that the silver investor build up an emergency stash of silver consisting of 25-100 one troy ounce silver bullion coins, especially American Silver Eagles. This emergency stash should be securely hidden or concealed at home or in your office so that you can have almost instant access to it in case of an emergency.

Save up…

Now it’s understandable that most of us simply don’t have enough money to buy 25-100 troy ounces of silver at once, but many of us are in the position to save up until we’ve got enough money to work towards the recommended goal. We should do so while silver market manipulation and the “paper gimmick” are still pretty much at the order of the day. Both places downward pressure on the silver price, but it’s a situation which is simply not sustainable, especially over the long-term. You want to invest in or own silver before the existing fiat money becomes worthless again, because silver is money and is used in several applications, industrial and otherwise.
